As the granddaughter of Mexican immigrants who settled in California’s Central Valley, she intimately understands the courage, uncertainty, and relentless hard work required to build a new life in the United States. Before co-founding her firm, Jacqueline honed her legal expertise at Sweeney Law Inc., rapidly advancing from Paralegal to Associate Attorney. In these roles, she provided strategic legal counsel, prepared complex cases, and played a key role in litigation and negotiations. She is a formidable presence in the courtroom and at the immigration desk, having successfully represented clients in removal proceedings, USCIS interviews, and complex appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). Her expansive immigration practice covers family-based petitions, asylum applications, waivers, U visas, and DACA renewals. Beyond her casework, she has consistently partnered with community organizations to provide essential pro bono services and outreach.
Jacqueline’s path to the law was defined by the same grit and adaptability she brings to her clients’ cases. A proud Fresno native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from Fresno Pacific University and dedicated several years to supporting students as a teacher in the Fresno Unified School District. She later earned her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law while simultaneously founding and running Gooby Bear Co., a successful e-commerce business. That hands-on entrepreneurial background shaped her pragmatic, results-oriented approach to the law, allowing her to explain complicated statutes in plain, accessible language.
